The cause is the dumbest part. We we’re trying to knock bolts out of a giant wooden board. I ingeniously decided to grab the punch with vice grips. Instead of putting my fingers on it. Then I missed so fucking bad. FULL SEND!

That looks painful. If it’s broken, many times nothing needs to be done but protect it. Sometimes the extensor tendon comes off with a piece of bone, but that can heal with immobilization of the far knuckle for a few weeks.

Ow.

This one has been pending for about three months now (it’s grown almost all the way ou t without coming off yet) :

I hate fingernail stuff SO MUCH... it’s definitely how I would be tortured in hell.

Was holding a nut with a wrench, hit the bolt the impact and I wasn’t braced well, spun my hand right right into solid steel at impact speed.

At least I’m pretty sure it was never broken.

Take your other hand and mildly flick the finger below the mail  (dead center on the finger tip) if it only smarts and the pain is tolerable then it’s just smashed. If you shoot through the ceiling in pain. Shits broke yo.

It'll probably fall off. I've been icing and heating for a bit now and it might not be broken. I'll know when I wake up. Beers are definitely helping

You still might want to get it checked and strap it if you think it’s broken. best to get it treated right if you want it back to full function as much as possible.
